It's a good con. But who do I complain to that there aren't *any* cosplayers at any con going as Gertrude from I Hate Fairyland? What's up with that? Is there a Nerd Consortium that can look into this? Someone needs to go to jail.

That would be such an awesome costume. My suggestion, of course, is to Be the Change You Want To See In The World and start googling green wigs! 💚🪓

Yeah, but see, now you're applying logic and reason. Stop it.

I'm far, far too lazy to do anything so tedious when I don't enjoy doing it. So... nu uh. No way, Jose'. But! being surprised and entertained by what other people's brains cook up is super-fun. It's like magic to me.

Enjoy the con! Don't forget to get totally blasted.

A couple things:

1. It really is great that so many nerds were able to comfortably be themselves! As someone who’s socially awkward myself and only has a couple of friends, do you have any general life advice?

2. I’m really curious about what you didn’t like about Alien: Romulus and how you think it should have been handled.

3. How did you initially get into crocheting?

4. It’s a bit hard to make out, but those seem to be a lovely dress and shoe in the ribbons picture. You really do have impeccable taste and style, Tini!

1. My advice for feeling awkward is just to think about it less! No one but you hears those nervous thoughts about yourself. But for material advice, my go to is always -

1. A compliment that shows mutual interest. (Ex, "Nice Alien cosplay! I love those movies.")

2. A thoughtful open ended question. (Ex, "what did you think of the new movie?")

3. Then listen actively and let them talk, and usually before you know it you two are chatting away.

To your other Qs, quick fire answers: felt Romulus started strong and fell apart, my grandmother taught me to crochet as a little girl, and thank you! I have always loved fashion and collecting pieces. 🖤

Thank you so, so much, Tini! I greatly appreciated this. #3 is the one I’ve been working hardest on over the years because in 10th grade there was a bad incident of me rambling on and on about things that were only of interest to me (I turn 24 on the 17th). Why do you feel that Romulus fell apart btw?
