It's a good con. But who do I complain to that there aren't *any* cosplayers at any con going as Gertrude from I Hate Fairyland? What's up with that? Is there a Nerd Consortium that can look into this? Someone needs to go to jail.
Yeah, but see, now you're applying logic and reason. Stop it.
I'm far, far too lazy to do anything so tedious when I don't enjoy doing it. So... nu uh. No way, Jose'. But! being surprised and entertained by what other people's brains cook up is super-fun. It's like magic to me.
Enjoy the con! Don't forget to get totally blasted.
1. My advice for feeling awkward is just to think about it less! No one but you hears those nervous thoughts about yourself. But for material advice, my go to is always -
1. A compliment that shows mutual interest. (Ex, "Nice Alien cosplay! I love those movies.")
2. A thoughtful open ended question. (Ex, "what did you think of the new movie?")
3. Then listen actively and let them talk, and usually before you know it you two are chatting away.
To your other Qs, quick fire answers: felt Romulus started strong and fell apart, my grandmother taught me to crochet as a little girl, and thank you! I have always loved fashion and collecting pieces. 🖤

That would be such an awesome costume. My suggestion, of course, is to Be the Change You Want To See In The World and start googling green wigs! 💚🪓
