As you read this, Blake and I on our way to the United Kingdom. It’s our second time to the UK this year, after enjoying ourselves so much at Portsmouth Comic Con, and we’re excited to be back. Blake and I will be seated right up front of Redshirt Hall at table E-25. We’re so excited to see you and sign your books!
And then next week, we’ll be signing at COFFEE AND HEROES in Belfast! I did a podcast with these guys and it was so much fun we decided to meet up again after Thought Bubble for a shop signing. It’s Wednesday, 20 November from 12-3PM, so come by to pick up your weekly pull and get a signed comic or two!
Coffee and Heroes - the most beautiful shop name I’ve ever heard. You can come by and I’ll sign your books, you can buy some of the shop’s books to sign, or you can just gaze at me like an extremely pleased zoo animal, sipping coffee surrounded by comics. I’m like Moo Deng, but I stopped biting legs (dental work.)

Things I’m really excited for on my trip: wine gums, Bakewell tarts, millionaire shortbread, wearing the wool coat I never get to wear in Los Angeles, old buildings, new comics, pub chips, meat pies, dry cider, international thrift shopping, chicken curry on jacket potatoes. There’s a lot of food in this list and it’s not a mistake. “English food is bad,” no, they just don’t do the same things as we do in the United States. Live and learn a little, enjoy the hearty winter foods they do well, and you’ll have as good a time as I always do.
WRITING?
Oh yeah, that. Just turned in the first issue of my first creator-owned project in 5+ years. I’m returning to the wild west with a project that feels so right, babes, I cannot wait for you all to see it and get on board. I’m also hard at work on issue 3 of something that hasn’t even been announced yet - working at such a different speed these days has been so, so nice. When we’re back Stateside, I’m opening my webshop for the holidays, which will enable you all to buy signed comics and variants directly from me, and I’ll even have a service that lets you buy a comic and have it gift wrapped and shipped to your person. That’s right! This year, Santa is a woman and she only gives comics.

Bakewell tarts and dry cider - you really do know our good stuff. I don't know how readily available it is in the US but if you have space in the case & want something a bit Braddock-related, nip to Sainsbury’s & grab a box of Maldon. The best sea salt in the world
