SAN DIEGO COMIC CON SCHEDULE
i'll be there - sorry i haven't been here!
And here’s that schedule if you’re just there for the quick version:
COMIC SKETCH ART will have my signing schedule up at my table, I’ll be there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to sign comics and shoot the shit. Oh, and see your cosplays. Of anything, really. I love cosplay and sometimes I miss it so if you come talk to me about it it makes me happy.
Here’s some of what I’ve been working on that’s kept me busy:
DC’s KNIGHT TERRORS event has been a ton of fun. I got to take both the girls, Catwoman and Harley, through separate nightmares that crack ‘em open and poke at the goo inside. Metaphorically, that is. Best part of my job.
BATMAN/CATWOMAN: GOTHAM WAR with Chip Zdarsky, the rest of the Gotham office, and a murderer’s fuckin’ row of artists. This event is such a dream come true. We’re taking over both books for two months, it’s a bunch of my favorite characters in comics history (and a few real surprises) and it's based on the kind of Gotham crossover events I loved when I was getting into this stuff. AND THERE IS GONNA BE KISSING.
AFTER THAT, we’ve got a whole new Catwoman arc that is coming out of stuff I’ve been planning for years. Back when writing in Gotham City was just a twinkle in my eye. It’s going to come directly out of the the events of Gotham War, so make sure you check that out, I’m thrilling about it already.
HARLEY QUINN ARC 2 is more of the Girl in a Crisis storyline - but make sure you check out Knight Terrors for how we get there. Harley’s got a powerful mind that’s been through a lot, and a little nightmare might not stop her. The end of Knight Terrors #2 also functions as the end of our first arc and blows things wide open, so don’t miss it!
A SECRET ONE SHOT I’m working on with one of my best friends for one of my favorite characters. We’ve both been fantasizing about writing for this chick since we got into comics, and now that we’re here, we are having so much fun.
ANOTHER SECRET PROJECT that is gonna blow minds and kick asses with some of your favorite comics characters and an artist who can only be described as one of the new greats.
ENJOYING MY SUMMER. Hell yeah. Extremely valid and cool and anti-capitalist of me to lay in the sun, drink lots of cold little drinks, go on hikes and campouts, sleep late, and head to San Diego in like, an hour.
As for Comic-Con? I’m very busy! Spending a lot of time with my pals and cohorts at DC Comics, giving you all the rundown on GOTHAM WAR, KNIGHT TERRORS, and more. Say hi if you see me! But there’s a chance I’ll be a bit emotional - have you seen the Interview With the Vampire promo in the Gaslamp District?!
