It’s here! The final volume of my years-long Catwoman run is finally available in collected format. I’m really excited about this one, as I mentioned in Monday’s post, because I wrote it as a bit of a narrative experiment taking place within my own run. One of my favorite Batman stories of all time is The Black Mirror, written by

Scott Snyder

and drawn by Jock and Francesco Francavilla during their Detective Comics run. It’s a great run, but The Black Mirror carves out as a beautiful story that can stand alone outside of the run, and that’s what I wanted to do with Nine Lives. It’s the final grandiose, world-spanning, back-and-forth-across-life-and-death culmination of my years spent writing Selina’s book, and also meant to be its own thing, a one-of-a-kind Catwoman story the likes of which did not exist before.

I got to work with three artists over the span of these ten issues - Stefano Raffaele, Carmine DiGiandomenico, and Ivan Shavrin. It comes together beautifully, and I couldn’t be prouder. And because it’s open for the holidays -
