Chip’s Batman run is going strong of course, and since he’s taking care of Catwoman in the main story, I’ll be writing the backup featuring Harley Quinn in issue 151!
Eight pages in one of the biggest books in the world - and I think Marianna Ignazzi and I killed it. It’s part of the ABSOLUTE POWER storyline, so things are a little whack in Gotham, but I’ve been having so much fun writing Harley in Gotham lately that I had to stay with it.
Anyway, Harley has to deal with Gotham having some little problem or something.
Probably nothing major. Those mushroom clouds are probably a metaphor or something…right?
THE X-MEN WEDDING SPECIAL #1 (2024)
It’s out today! One of my FAVORITE Pride issues I’ve ever had the honor to work on, our own Phillip Sevy and I told the tale of Captain Britain and Askani just trying to get to the damn wedding—
—but being stopped by some classic Excalibur villains I’ve been dying to use since I started on the book.
The response to this has been lovely. Sarah asking me back for another story with our girls was such a treat. And getting to work with Phillip Sevy, well - anyone here knows I’m one of his biggest fans. Go pick it up if you haven’t - it’s our Pride issue this year, and well - we’re very proud.
TWO CONVENTIONS
I’m back from both Portsmouth Comic Con in beautiful Southern England and Phoenix Fan Fusion in sunny Phoenix, AZ! Both gave me all the nice, hot, sunny weather I crave, and the kindness from fans from all over. If you’re a U.K. fan who missed me at Portsmouth, worry not, I’m at Thought Bubble this fall!
I never know what to say about conventions, but I took lots of pics, so let’s go out on that for this week - pics from our trip through London, the convention in Portsmouth, and just last weekend, the con in Phoenix! Gatecrasher!
Absolutely adored your Sapphic Saturnyne Swan Song. Phillips art bringing Gatecrasher, Joyboy, and all those weird little Alan Davis characters to life again brought me back to my childhood and just the jaw dropping joy of picking up a comic book and going, “what on earth is this?” Sequential storytelling at its best and a perfect capstone to an amazing X-Men run! Excalibur and its follow ups will always be my Krakoan go to books.
